US journalist questioned in Fiji

Questions are being asked in the United States over whether President Barack Obama's favourite bottled water is helping prop up Fiji's military regime. Fiji Water has become Fiji's biggest export to America, where it has overtaken the French brand, Evian, as the top selling bottled water in the US. The company's ads feature pictures of President Obama with bottles of Fiji Water on his desk.

A New York journalist, Anna Lenzer, has written a lengthy article for the investigative magazine, Mother Jones, about Fiji Water and its role in Fiji. She says that while she was researching the story in Fiji in April she was picked up by the Fiji police while sitting in an internet cafe.
