Oil Search profit down but PNG LNG project on track

Oil Search says its 11 billion US dollar Papua New Guinea liquid natural gas project is on track to make its crucial final investment decison before the end of the year. Managing Director, Peter Botton, was speaking to brokers and jounalists, in Sydney, at the announcement of the company's half- year results. With oil prices well down from their peaks of a year ago, the company's first half profits were also down.
