Indian movies have long been a huge business in India and as the diaspora has settled all over the world, the backdrops to Bollywood films have become increasingly international. Here in Australia, the second film from Indian-Fijian director Vimal Reddy is doing well around the country. Ghar Pardes was filmed in several locations in Fiji, as well as here in Australia. It's the story of a cane-farmer's daughter who marries into a wealthy Fiji-Indian family and migrates to Australia.
