Firm to start undersea prospecting in Solomons

The company that has applied for an ocean floor mining lease in Papua New Guinea is about to start undersea prospecting in Solomon Islands. Nautilus Mining is hiring a ship to explore the seabed between Papua New Guinea's Milne Bay Province and New Georgia island in Solomon Islands.
The Vice President for Strategic Development with Nautilus Minerals, Michael Johnston, says there are indications just west of New Georgia of mineral rich deposits.
