Police say Tonga methamphetamine destined for overseas

Police in Tonga have now confirmed that a large quantity of drugs seized in the capital Nuku'alofa last week is the powerful stimulant methamphetamine - also known as 'ice'. A total of 26 containers were found in raids on two houses - making it one of the island nation's most significant drugs haul. Community groups have expressed concerns that it may be a sign the highly addictive substance is about to make its mark on the local community.
