Non-smoking rule enforced at Cooks Games

The tradition of smoking during a game of lawn bowls in the Cook Islands has been put on hold during the Pacific Mini Games. Smoking by lawn bowls competitors and officials is prohibited anywhere on the playing area. The lawn bowls venue manager in the Cook Islands says even though many participants do like to smoke during the game, they are happy to comply with official rule. Mr Veia Mani says smoke free zones are good because it is keeping up with international standards.
