Fiji Reserve Bank Governor speaks out

Since the abrogation of Fiji's constitution and the imposition of strict media censorship in April, international ratings agencies have been increasingly concerned about the future of the Fiji economy. Today, we hear the assessment of the Governor of the Reserve Bank of Fiji, Sada Reddy. Late last week, Governor Reddy announced Fiji's foreign reserves had hit record levels, passing 1 billion Fiji dollars for the first time. In this in-depth interview, Jemima Garrett, began by asking Mr Reddy how significant that 1 billion dollar milestone is.
