West Papuans rally in Melbourne

A group of around 30 West Papuans and their Australian sympathisers held a colourful rally on the steps of Victoria's Parliament House in Australia. They were calling on the Australian Government to mediate a political settlement between the Indonesian government and the West Papuan Transitional Authority. West Papua has been a province of Indonesia since 1963, but the indigenous Melanesian population have been demanding self-determination.
