American Samoa quake upgraded to 8.3

As we've been covering all morning a, 8-point-3 magnitude earthquake has hit off the coast of American Samoa -- the figure has just been upgraded by the UN Geological Survey. A US National Park Service official says the quake and tsunami in American Samoa has caused deaths, but there is no word on how many.

We're going back to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii now for the latest on the warnings that were issued less than an hour ago, and we're joined by Kanoa Koyanagi.
