Australia cops 30 per cent southern bluefin tuna quota cut
Updated
The impact of the international decision to cut Australia's southern bluefin tuna catch is already being felt in South Australia's Port Lincoln. The founder and chairman of Clean Seas Tuna says the decision by the Commission for the Conservation of Southern Bluefin Tuna will cost the tuna fishery and related Australian industries millions of dollars.
The Mayor of Port Lincoln is concerned about the impact on the town, saying it will take some time before the full effects of the quota cut are felt.
