NZ on unequal distribution of disaster aid to Samoa
Updated
A New Zealand councillor has raised concerns about the unequal distribution of aid to tsunami affected villages in Samoa. While visiting her family in Samoa, Porirua Deputy Mayor, Litea Ah-Hoi, says she spoke with some villagers and health workers who are not receiving essential aid such as food and water. Ms Ah-Hoi believes there is a problem at the local village level when the aid is received from a central distribution centre.
