Slice of heaven in PNG's Madang faces factory future

Life is normally lived at a relaxed pace in the tropical tourist town of Madang on Papua New Guinea's north coast. But a plan to turn it into the fish processing hub of the South Pacific has got the locals fired-up.

The PNG government is creating an industrial zone that it hopes will house up to ten canneries and give the country a bigger slice of the global tuna industry. But residents fear it could destroy their unique environment and laid back lifestyle.
