Updated November 3, 2009 17:43:58

The Angau Memorial hospital in Papua New Guinea's second city of Lae in Morobe Province, is currently experiencing a critical shortage of blood. The shortage of blood is particularly critical for cancer patients referred from other parts of PNG, especially for women with cervical cancer. Doctors are therefore appealing to people to donate blood to the Angau Hospital blood bank.
