French Polynesia's Gaston Flosse parliamentary immunity lifted

There's been a significant development in the so-called "O-P-T Affair" in French Polynesia. The French Senate in Paris has agreed to lift the parliamentary immunity of the territory's senator and former president, Gaston Flosse. It follows a third request from the public prosecutor in Tahiti and the French justice ministry, after months of investigation into the misuse of public funds tied to French Polynesia's Office of Post and Telecommunications.
