Reports Dame Carol loses PNG sport portfolio

It seems the Papua New Guinea sports portfolio has been transferred between ministries. The incumbent sports minister, Dame Carol Kidu, does not know for sure, but she has heard through unofficial routes that the portfolio has gone to the Minister for State Assisting the Prime Minister, Philemon Embel.

Even though she has been given no official confirmation, Dame Carol says she actually welcomes the lightening of her ministerial workload as she edges out of politics.
