A senior Solomon Islands government official has described the latest stoush between Fiji, Australia and New Zealand as unfortunate.

The special secretary to the Solomon Islands Prime minister, John Keniapisia, made this comment following the latest diplomatic tensions between the three neighbours after Fiji expelled the Australian and New Zealand representatives from Fiji earlier this week. Australia and New Zealand retaliated by doing the same to Fiji's government officials.
