Pacific Trade with China sees explosive growth
Updated
A new report from the ANZ Bank shows China's trade with the Pacific Islands has grown dramatically. In the 7 years to 2008 Chinese imports to the Pacific grew at 40% a year and the region's exports to China at 28%. The growth has been so fast that China has now overhauled the United States, the European Union and Japan as a trading partner. Paul Gruenwald is the ANZ's Chief Economist Asia and the lead author of the report.
