Police ready for PNG National Games

There will be about 400 more police patrolling in and around Port Moresby during the PNG National Games, starting Thursday. The Chief Inspector Superintendent of Operations National Capital District Andy Bawa says experienced officers will be sent out to provide security to provincial teams during the Games. He says police have already had the first of what will be daily briefings to cope with 10-thousand extra people visiting the city.
