Pacific health surveillance strategy excites ASEAN

The Secretariat of the Pacific Community, or SPC, received a delegation of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, ASEAN, for the first time last week. The main purpose of the ASEAN visit to SPC was to exchange information about regional public health initiatives, especially the Pacific Public Health Surveillance Network.

Nine representatives from Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Japan composed the ASEAN delegation to SPC.
