Solomons considers new parliamentary way to remove PM

The Solomon Islands Parliament is today debating whether to pass the Political Party Integrity Bill which will give ruling parties the right to remove a prime minister without a motion of no-confidence. Under the proposed legislation, the ruling parties can continue to govern under a new leader.
The Special Secretary to the Solomon Islands Prime Minister and chair of the bill's working committee, John Keniapasia, explains the provision.
