Samoan businesses want access to tsunami relief aid

Updated November 25, 2009 17:40:41

Samoa's business community wants aid money for victims of the tsunami to be shared with disaster affected private sector enterprises. Since the September 29 tsunami, many people from the south coast of Upolu Island have drifted away from the area in favour of the capital Apia, or in some cases overseas. With many tourist resorts badly hit by the disaster jobs in the area have dried up and many local people feel as if there's nothing there for them.
