Solomons bid to end development in disaster-prone areas

The head of Solomon Islands Disaster Council wants government ministries and agencies to take the lead on preventing development in areas prone to floods and earthquakes. In just the past two years, at least 15 people have died and hundreds of homes have been damaged due to flooding in and around the capital Honiara.
