New Fiji law to stop infant formula 'freebies'

The Fiji government has passed a new law banning milk retailers from offering free giveaways that could discourage women from breastfeeding their babies. The law was introduced after infant formula distributors were found to have offered free samples and other giveaways targeting young mums. The new laws have been welcomed by the Consumer Council of Fij.
