PNG bank security increase continues after Kapris recapture
Updated
As we reported earlier this week, Papua New Guinea's most notorious criminal is back behind bars after police captured William Kapris at a lodge in Port Moresby on Saturday. He had been on the run for nearly a month after he and 11 other prisoners escaped from a maximum-security jail outside the capital.
Kapris is the alleged mastermind behind several bank robberies, and the Bank South Pacific is particularly relieved to see him back in custody. BSP's chief executive officer Ian Clyne says Kapris had repeatedly targeted the bank.
