TVNZ ordered to pay $ 5,000

The New Zealand Broadcasting Standards Authority has ordered Television New Zealand to pay five-thousand dollars to the Samoan government after ruling it ran a story which wrongly conveyed Samoa awash with guns and drugs. Television New Zealand says it is seriously considering appealing the decision and it stands by its Pacific Correspondent Barbara Dreaver's story. Here is some of the story, which has caused the controversy.
