NZ Trans-Tasman rower almost there

After more than seven weeks at sea, trans-Tasman rower Shaun Quincey is expected to reach New Zealand sometime after Sunday. If he completes the voyage he will be only the second person to row alone from Australia to New Zealand. His father Colin Quincey achieved the feat more than thirty years ago rowing in the opposite direction. Every solo attempt since that expedition has failed, including efforts by Australian kayaker Andrew McAuley. He died three years ago, within 30 nautical miles of the New Zealand shore. It hasn't been smooth sailing for Shaun Quincey either who has capsized twice, had water dropped from a plane and also crossed paths with a whale. Our reporter in New Zealand Liv Casben spoke to Shaun Quincey via satellite phone.
