Cyclone alert for Wallis and Futuna

A tropical cyclone alert has been issued for Wallis and Futuna. The Fiji Met Service's cyclone warning centre says at two hours universal time a tropical depression was located 300 kilometres north east of Wallis, and moving slowly in a westerly direction. It says the system has the potential to develop into a cyclone in the next 24 to 48 hours.
