Survey of 16 Pacific nations finds alcohol and drug abuse worsening

A major new report from the Australian National Council on Drugs released on Thursday reveals the Pacific region has some real and developing problems with alcohol and other drugs. The report is the first of its kind and provides a snapshot on the available information on alcohol and drugs problems in 16 countries in the Pacific. The report compiled by the Burnet Institute found alcohol abuse was of major concern.
