Democracy leader describes Tonga as a dictatorship

The leader of Tonga's pro-democracy movement, Akilisi Pohiva, says John Cauchi's resignation as attorney general raises significant questions about the independence of the judiciary. Elections are due to be held in November dor a new-look, more representative parliament, which will see the majority of MPs elected by the people for the first time. But Mr Pohiva says at the moment Tonga is a dictatorship.
