PNG demonstrate against Ombudsman law changes

More than 5,000 people staged protest march in Port Moresby this morning against changes to the Papua New Guinea Ombudsman Commission laws, which govern leaders' conduct. Led by PNG's Community Coalition Against Corruption and Civil society groups and university students, they presented a petition calling for the withdrawal of the proposed legislation. The petition contains more than 20,000 signatures from people nation-wide who oppose the changes to the Ombudsman Commission laws.
