Peace monitoring teams find success in PNG highlands

Our Papua New Guinea correspondent Liam Fox has just returned from the Eastern Highlands where he observed a successful projet run by so-called peace monitoring teams to defuse outbreaks of tribal violence.
The AusAID-funded project brings together police, politicians, local bureaucrats and church leaders who are trained in conflict resolution and sent in to defuse arguments before they escalate.
