Asia regional integration a model for Pacific

A chief of the Asian Development Bank says there are lessons for Pacific nations in the way South East Asia has dealt with the global financial crisis.

The ADB vice president of operations, Lawrence Greenwood, is in Australia for annual talks with government officials.

He says regional integration in Asia is improving incomes and cutting costs in important facets such as mobile phone use, which could be a model for the Pacific.
