Parliament may be recalled to pass PNG supplementary budget

The Somare government may have to recall Papua New Guinea's parliament for a special session before the November 16 budget session to pass a supplementary budget bill of half a billion kina.
Senior ministers said last week that the 2011 budget would likely be around K8 billion.
Meanwhile, Papua New Guinea's largest mining stock Lihir Gold has ended its life on the exchange, having now been absorbed into Newcrest Mining.
