East Timorese President calls Australian inquiry slow
Updated
Now to East Timor, where President Jose Ramos-Horta has accused Australian authorities of dragging their feet in the investigation into the attempt on his life.
Mr Ramos-Horta wants Australia to hand-over everything it knows about an 800-thousand dollar Darwin bank account in the name of rebel leader Alfredo Reinado and his lover, Australian Timorese woman Angelita Pires. Australia has denied stonewalling the probe. But the question over the funds transfer isn't the only one troubling the president. Last week, Asia Pacific broadcast the President's allegations against Indonesian television channel, Metro TV over the airing of an interview with Alfredo Reinado.
