Gaston Tong Sang adds another minister

French Polynesia's President Gaston Tong Sang has decided to introduce some changes to his two week old government. Last month, Mr Tong Sang returned to the Presidency, after his party To Tatou Ai'a won a no confidence motion which brought down Gaston Flosse's government. Mr Tong Sang has now decided to appoint a 15th minister, who will be in charge of the territory's infrastructure.
The appointment of this ministerial post has been on hold as the President was hoping to offer the job to an opposition member.
