NGOs told to deliver results or get out of Eastern Highlands
Updated
Non government organisations, United Nations agencies and international consultants operating in Papua New Guinea's Eastern Highlands province will be told to leave if they don't start delivering results. That's the new policy announced by provincial governor, Malcolm Kela Smith, who says its frustrating to see the amount of money being spent on aid projects going to waste. He says one example is efforts to combat HIV and Aids, which are very expensive, but little actual progress seems to be being made.
