Solomons Prime Minister says reconciliation must be all encompassing.
Updated
Solomon Islands Prime Minister, Derek Sikua says that Correctional Services is not going to engage in a separate reconciliation process with concerned communities on North Guadalcanal. He was answering a question of reconciliation for the harassment of villagers by officers from the Tetere Prison on North Guadalcanal during the ethnic tensions period. Dr Sikua says Correctional Services is part of the government and any reconciliation must be between the government and aggrieved communities. Correctional Services Commissioner, Barry Apsy says he's aware of the details of the harassment by the Tetere Prison officers. Mr Apsy says however, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission being considered by the government would help solve some questions relating to the ethnic conflict.
