Guam ready to be US supply base for Burmese relief

America's Pacific territory of Guam looks set to become a key supply hub for disaster relief efforts in cyclone-ravaged Burma. But that depends on whether the ruling military junta allows the US military direct access to the country. The US Air Force's 36th Contingency Response Group, which is based in Guam, already has 45 of it's members deployed at an airbase in Thailand, and has emergency supplies ready to de despatched immediately.
