Health Ministry defends water quality

RASamoa's Health Ministry and Water Authority have hit back at claims that the nation's water isn't safe to drink. The World Health Organisation released a statement saying not enough was being done to address the severity of typhoid in the nation and that the main hospital sees up to 12 suspected typhoid cases a day as a result. It says contaminated water caused by old water pipes which leak and allow the disease into the supply are the most probable cause. But both the Health Ministry and Water Authority say the claims are inflated and unproven.
