Australia should learn from NZ Pacific workers scheme

Australia needs to learn critical lessons from New Zealand before committing to a Pacific region seasonal workers scheme according to a new report. The Australian Government has come under increasing pressure from Pacific nations and Australian employers to introduce a guest workers scheme based on a New Zealand model.The Government has said that it will seriously consider a similar scheme if it receives evidence that the New Zealand model is a success.
