Governor raises unification with CNMI and US statehood

Guam's Governor has raised the possibility of the US territory reuniting with the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas and together applying to be the 51st state of America. Governor Felix Camacho made his comments as the keynote speaker at the recent Attorney General's Cup speech competition. Guam and CNMI had been administered together when they were ruled by Spain, but were split up in the wake of the Spanish-American War in 1898.
