Australian scientists work to reduce parasite impact

Australian scientists are working to reduce the shocking impact of parasites, particularly liver flukes and round worms on people and livestock. Parasites flourish worldwide causing serious health problems in people and a potentially disasterous impact on animals such as cattle and sheep. One of the key scientists involved with creating new diagnostic tool to identify the parasites says the Pacific is an area that in the past has recieved little attention.
