Indonesia places restrictions on Ahmadiya
Updated
Indonesia's Government has placed severe restrictions on the activities of the minority muslim, Ahmadiya sect which has been denounced as deviant by Islamic hardliners.
The decree falls short of the outright ban demanded by fundamentalists.
However, there are fears the decision may embolden the hardliners and spark more violence against members and supporters of Ahmadiya.
