Vietnamese doctors help Cambodian polio children
Updated
A group of Vietnamese doctors is mounting a six-day volunteer mission on Saturday to help Cambodian children suffering from polio.
The surgical team is being led by the head of Phueng Dung Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City.
The doctors will be conducting up to 40 operations during their stay in a bid to improve the children's mobility, and to give them a brighter future.
Funding for the mission has been received from The Vinh Tien Paper Corp Fund in Vietnam.
A second volunteer mission has been planned for the tourist town of Siem Reap next year.
