Clearing the remnants of war in Nepal

Landmines and other explosives left over from Nepal's decade-long civil war are being cleared and already there's been a drop in casualties.

United Nations experts say it will take another four years to finish the job. But the UN is still waiting for the Nepali government to formally invite mine action teams to stay on after the main UN peace mission pulls out of Nepal next month.
