State of economic emergency declared in Marshalls Is

The impact of the rising cost of fuel is so dire in Marshall Islands the government has declared a state of economic emergency. If the government fails to come up with eight point five million US dollars for fuel by next weekend the lights will go out at the end of August. The money is needed to cover last month's diesel shipment and a down payment on this month's.
