In Solomon Islands, work has started on the rebuilding of China Town in Honiara which was destroyed by fire more than two years ago. China Town was Honiara's main shopping hub until it was burnt down and looted during a politically motivated riot in April 2006. The Secretary of the Solomon Islands Chinese Association, Matthew Quan says some of the original shopowners have since left the country. Mr Quan says the ones who remained are happy that they are eventually able to rebuild - but they want some government assistance.
