In Solomon Islands, the new board of the Electricity Authority is cracking down on customers who have not paid their bills. Honiara went without power on Wednesday as the Authority could not pay an outstanding bill to Markwarth Oil. To recover the debt, the chair of the Authority Walter Naezon says they will have to focus on getting customers to pay their bills. He says this amounts to about 20 million Solomon Islands dollars a month.
