Atheletes praise canoeing course

Away from the controversy over Internet censorship at the Beijing Olympic Games, Australia's early athletic arrivals are quietly getting on with training.

It is now just a week out from the Opening Ceremony. The 31 Olympic venues in the seven Chinese host cities are getting last minute touches, although they are generally regarded as complete and in most cases, like the Birds Nest stadium, spectacular. The Shunyi Olympic Rowing-Canoeing Park north east of Beijing has got the Australian seal of approval.
