Aid push for North Korea

South Korean private groups have sent over 30 million US dollars in aid to North Korea this year, despite unsettled relations between the two governments.
North Korea is again facing an acute food shortage, with women, children and the elderly most keenly affected. With millions of people on the brink of crisis, the United Nation's World Food Programme plans to dramatically expand aid to the North.
